Author Spotlight: Angela Nicole

Rescued Hearts by Angela Nicole, Angela Nicole author, BT Urruela model, CJC Photography, Florida photographer, book cover photographer, romance book cover photographerCJC: How did you get started as an author and what made you want to pursue that field?

Angela: My situation is probably different than most. I worked in higher education for the last 23 years so all of my writing was purely academic. I hate writing research papers so I never thought about writing romance novels.

I am a big daydreamer so I guess thats how the stories started to appear in my mind. I knew I wasn’t crazy but I didn’t know what to do with all of the conversations that were going on in my head.

I knew I had to get them out of my head to make room for more, so I decided to write.

CJC: What hurdles have your overcome while striving towards your goals?

Angela: Having a full-time job with 10-hour days really hindered the speed at which I could write my first book. That even sounded academic didn’t it?

CJC: For those looking to become an author, what advice would you give them?

Angela: Since I have started this process, several of my friends have said that they have always wanted to write. I told them to just sit down and start. You don’t need to have it all planned out. In fact, I had Rescued Hearts half completed when I saw the photo I wanted for the cover. That photo changed the whole story line so I had to rewrite most of it.

CJC: Favorite motto?

Angela: It is what it is…

CJC: In one word, how would you describe your writing style?

Angela: Non-existent.

CJC: Which author inspires you the most and why?

Angela: This is a tough one because I read so many different authors. If you are making me choose, I guess I would say Shayla Black. I love her style of writing and the characters that she brings to life. Her books are sexy with a twist of action.

CJC: What is your writing process like?

Angela: I begin jotting down keywords and ideas, then formulate the outline. I revise the outline several times before I begin writing chapters.

CJC: Goals for the remainder of the year?

Angela: Start a trilogy of novellas. These novellas will be a new genre (erotica) for me. The series is called Club Mistress and will focus on women who want to learn how to be more dominate in the bedroom. These women will have the terrible misfortune of having hot male graduate students as their submissives.

CJC: What new projects are you currently working on?

Angela: I am working on book two of the Mastered Hearts Series, called Enlightened Hearts.

CJC: Any final thoughts you would like to share with the CJC Photography readers?

Angela: I would like to thank you Christopher John for all of your help this last year. I look forward too many more covers.  Readers, please check out Rescued Hearts, available on Amazon. Thank you for your support!

CJC: Thank you so much Angela for including BT and I on your novel Rescued Hearts. I look forward to collaborating with you on future projects. Stay up to date with Angela’s upcoming releases via her Facebook page.
