Model Spotlight: Riley Rebecca | CJC Photography

Model Spotlight: Riley Rebecca

CJC Photography, tattoo model, Florida photographer, book cover photographer, romance book cover photographerThis month’s exclusive model spotlight features the beautiful Riley Rebecca. I first met Riley earlier this year when we had a photo shoot with David Wills doing both solo and couple imagery. We had such a fun time shooting together and have since sold 5 book covers together. Stay tuned for our second photo shoot together in October.

Get to know Riley a little bit more…

CJC: How did you get your start in modeling?

RR: I was actually an actor for ten years before retiring. (Well, getting tattooed sort of forced my retirement). Modeling reminds me of my “past life” and all the different roles I got to play!

CJC: Who/what do you draw inspiration from during a photo shoot?

RR: I think subconsciously my mother is the route of most of my inspiration. She’s an artist and has the soul to match. She taught me to see the beauty, art, and depth in everything, and I believe each photo should tell an artistic story.

CJC: What do you enjoy the most about modeling and what do you find to be the most challenging?

RR: I love it all! I love creating art with passionate and creative souls. I love being able to tell a story without words. I love pushing boundaries and making people confront, challenge, and explore the things we do, and don’t see in the world. I love that an image can do that. The most challenging part is originality.

CJC: In one word how would you describe yourself?

RR: “Dog obsessed” is two words, so I’ll go with, “dynamic.”

CJC: If you could have any costar for a photo shoot, who would it be and why?

RR: Norman Reedus, because I’m dying to know what he smells like. I imagine it’s something beautifully musky.

CJC: Where would you like to travel to in the future?

RR: EVERYWHERE! My sense of wanderlust borders obsession, and my excitement for the world is that of a child’s. Thailand is next on my list! CJC Photography, tattoo model, Florida photographer, book cover photographer, romance book cover photographer

CJC:  How do you stay in such great shape?

RR: Am I?! Wooo, Lord knows, I eat my weight in bread and cupcakes on the daily, so I’m gonna guess luck and genetics! Thanks, parents!!!—although, now that I’m thinking about it, I really should stop eating at midnight because one of these days it’s gonna catch up with me. As of current, my exercise mostly consists of chasing my puppies around the yard.

CJC: Do you have any interesting or unique talents?

RR: I’m actually really good at twirling spaghetti without having any leftover bits hanging off the fork! I’m also a contortionist so I guess that’s two!

CJC: What is something most people don’t know about you?

RR: My lifelong dream is to become a philanthropist.

CJC: To date, what accomplishment are you most proud of?

RR: While living in Vermont I got to adjust some state legislation and even passed my own law regarding the tattoo industry! (When I’m not modeling I work as a Professional Body Piercer full time).

CJC: What are your goals for the remainder of the year?

RR: My goal every year is to learn, grow, and teach as much as possible.

CJC: Any final thoughts you would like to share with the CJC Photography readers?

RR: It’s so important that we don’t get too wrapped up in what we see online… People post the glamour, but in truth: that’s the marketing and the spin. Life is always going to be challenging (for everyone) but we need to find inner strength to remain positive, and the rest will fall into place. Believe in yourself and live by the laws of attraction. Too many people suffer from depression because they get so engrossed in comparisons; when most of it isn’t real life. Love yourself, and your life—we get to choose the paths we lead, SO ENJOY YOURS!

CJC: Thanks again Riley for taking the time to be part of this interview. You are such a blast to work with and I can’t wait to see you again in October.
