Fitness Model Spotlight – Brittany Gittelman

Fitness Model Spotlight – Brittany Gittelman

Brittany is a full-time online personal trainer from Oklahoma and the mother of a 4 year old girl named Peyton. Her personal training encompasses health and wellness, weight loss, and competition prep. While growing up, she was a gymnast for 11 years, cheered for 4 and has been competing since she was just 15 years old!

She has competed in 4 shows and won each one! The Oklahoma (2006, 2010), The Battle of the Bodies (2010), and the Europa Super Show (2012).

Let’s get to know Brittany a bit better.

1) What first got you interested in fitness and how has your passion grown? What first got me into fitness was gymnastics. I loved floor but was losing my love for the sport itself. I heard about fitness and did some asking around. It became my new passion! My excitement for fitness actually came to a halt in 2010. I was in a very unhealthy relationship and lost my love for the sport. In 2012, I noticed some changes with my body and they were everything I never wanted to see. I got back into the gym for recreational lifting and my love quickly came back to me. It is not only my passion, but it is my life.

2) What hurdles have you overcome while reaching towards your fitness goals? In 2008, as I was prepping for The Oklahoma Championships I learned I was going to be expecting a baby girl. In 2009, as I was again prepping for the Oklahoma I was convinced by peers, I should not compete. I pondered on that for a minute and decided I have what it takes. In September of 2009, I began to train hard and prep for the Battle of the bodies and Oklahoma in 2010.

Another major hurdle that not many people realize is I had a baby and fight a constant battle with the loose skin, and stretch marks on my belly. I also have with numerous digestive problems.

3) For those looking to get in better shape, what tips would you give them? For those looking to get into better shape, I would tell them to be sure to have at least 6 meals a day to boost your metabolism, and drink roughly a gallon to 1.5 gallons of water a day.

4) What are your favorite physical features? My favorite physical features are my glutes and delts. I am known for the booty. A lot of women struggle with building both delts and glutes and those are two body parts I have put a lot of time and effort in.

5) Favorite motto? My favorite motto is “Leave no doubt.”

6) In one word how would you describe yourself? Sincere.

7) Tell me something that most people don’t know about you? Most people don’t know about the life struggles I have been through since I was 17 and pregnant with my daughter.

8) Who inspires you in the fitness industry? Danielle Reardon.

9) Any unique talents? I was a gymnast for 11 years, so I can tumble like it is going out of style! I’m also big into country swing dancing.

10) What can’t you live without? I can’t live without my daughter, and the gym. The gym is where my goals are achieved, my therapy, and my medicine.

11) Any final thoughts you would like to share with the CJC Photography readers?

Never give up on your dreams. No matter what may come across as a setback, chances are it is a challenge from god. Overcome the challenge and press forward. Be the best YOU can be.
