CJC Photography Turns 1 Year Old!

This past year has been a whirlwind of new experiences with both ups and down. Downs being when I did a head shot photo shoot and fell down a hill and got poison ivy all over my back. My clumsiness always has a way of emerging at the worst times. However, all and all I could not be happier and more thankful with this past year. Its true what people say, if you do what you love it doesn’t feel like you’re really working which is how I feel every time I’m doing a photo shoot or post production work.

Photography started as just a hobby. I was always the one to bring a camera whenever I went out with friends and that was a role I played within the group. One day it just clicked! Why not try this as more than a hobby and pursue it professionally? With the help of Jacorre Design Studio who created my website I was off and running and my real focus became building my portfolio and getting clients.

I finished the Complete Course in Professional Photography through the New York Institute of Photography as well as a Photoshop class through Better Photo.

My freelance experience has ranged vastly within portraits and events such as: bridal/baby showers, maternity, newborn, family, swimsuit, fashion, and fitness.

Photo competitions are where I really started getting my feet wet and I have won photo of the day numerous times on Ultimate Photo Battle. With the help of social media and marketing I have also placed in a variety of contests such as the “I Heart Snow Photo Contest” – 10th Place and the Clean Spirited Nature Photo Contest – 18th Place just to name a few. Locally, through my work with the Metro South Chamber of Commerce I was featured in the Stoughton Journal as well as The Enterprise. My fitness shoot which took place at America’s Best Defense was featured on various men’s blogs such as: All Hot Men, Hunks Daily, reFRESH, and Next Hottest Model.

I want to truly thank everyone who has been part of this past year with me. From fellow photographers who I get inspiration and advice from, models who have participated in shoots with me, and friends and family who I’m sure by now are sick of hearing me talk about how much I love doing this on a regular basis and when I harass them to vote for my photos.

I can’t wait to see what the next year will bring!

Also… really big news coming up about a future project I will be a part of but I don’t want to reveal too much until it’s released.

Stay Tuned!
